It’s a party, and you’re invited! The Los Angeles Zoo celebrates its 50^th birthday today from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. with half-price admission, live music, cake, and special mini exhibits.

Also watch the animals celebrate when zookeepers serve them nutrient-rich cake. Here’s the feeding schedule:

• 11:00 a.m.—Black bears
• 11:30 a.m.—Asian elephants (in Elephant Circle yard)
• 12:30 p.m.–Gorillas
• 1:30 p.m.—Tigers
• 2:00 p.m.—Aldabra tortoises
• 3:00 p.m.—Harbor seals
