About Tabby Cat’s Pawprints

Tabby Cat’s Pawprints is the travel blog of Tabby Cat Communications. Cheryl Landes, the founder of Tabby Cat Communications, loves to explore new and familiar places. She discovered travel writing during her studies at the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication more than 30 years ago and began publishing articles in magazines and newspapers in the United States and Canada. Her credits include Sunset, Northwest Travel, Oregon Coast, Old West, True West, and Cat Fancy. She has also published three books on Pacific Northwest travel and history: Beautiful America’s Seattle (two editions), Beautiful America’s Idaho, and Those Wild Northwest Days. Her latest book, Rainbows in the Snow, celebrates experiences from her journeys in words and photos.

In addition, Cheryl wrote travel entries and photographed destinations for At-Hand Guides, a travel app based in New England. Her assignments covered the six New England states, the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York, and San Francisco.

Cheryl is a U.S. West Coast native and has traveled all 50 states, eight Canadian provinces, Mexico, Cuba, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Spain, France, Andorra, England, Ireland, and Iceland. She has lived most of her life in the Pacific Northwest and currently calls Vancouver, Washington, home.

Cheryl enjoys writing about the destinations she visits and hopes you’ll enjoy her posts.

Happy, safe travels!
