Shelter open house at Animal Aid in Portland July 29

Munch on treats, play games, and learn more about care and community programs at Animal Aid’s shelter open house on Saturday, July 29, from noon until 4 p.m.

Volunteers and staff will offer tours of the shelter, where you can meet the cats available for adoption. In the dog kennel area, meet the dog team and possibly an adoptable dog. Play a game of cornhole in the dog run outside.

In the lower parking lot, frozen treats and popped popcorn will be available, and you can play giant Jenga. Inside the downstairs area, learn about Animal Aid’s programs, buy shelter merchandise, work on a craft, and get your face painted.

Parking will be available at Southwest Autobody & Frame, 4200 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Highway, down the hill from Animal Aid. The walk from the autobody shop to Animal Aid is about a block.

Donations are welcome and will be used to support the animals in the shelter’s care and community programs.
