If you’re looking for a way to find your center in the company of cats, check out Yoga with Cats at Animal Aid in Portland. The event returns to the no-kill shelter starting Sunday, February 25.

Bonnie Chipman leads these sessions in the free-roaming cat area. A kitty or two might stop by to greet you or decide to share your mat while you’re in the middle of a pose. Or they might supervise the class from a favorite windowsill or cat tree.

Bring your own mat.

Here’s the current schedule. I will update this post with additional dates for 2024 as soon as they’re announced.

• Sunday, February 25, noon-1 p.m.
• Sunday, March 24, 2-3 p.m.
• Sunday, April 28, noon-1 p.m.
• Sunday, May 19, 2-3 p.m.

Registration is $25 per person and needs to be done in advance on Animal Aid’s website. These classes often fill, so sign up as soon as possible if you can attend.
