Tonight, the City of Tigard, Oregon, hosts its first light show powered by drones to celebrate Independence Day. Some 200 drones are expected to light up the sky in a variety of animations with patriotic and Tigard themes.

The gates open at 6 p.m., and the light show will start at 9:30-10 p.m. Before the show starts, enjoy family friendly events from live music to games.

The festivities are at the Tigard High School at 9800 SW Durham Road. The best places to view the light show are at the Tigard High School baseball field and adjacent field.
