Green Lake is a beautiful retreat any time of year, but the Pathway of Lights add extra touches. On the second Saturday in December, lighted lanterns line both sides of the 2.8-mile paved trail around the lake north of downtown Seattle. Take a leisurely walk among the lights while listening to carolers and bands from 4:30-7:30 p.m. See the poster below from Seattle Parks and Recreation, the event’s host, for this year’s music schedule.
Green Lake is located at 7201 E Green Lake Drive N in Seattle. Parking is limited. Several public buses stop near the lake. Plot your trip on King County Metro’s trip planner.
Pathway of Lights is free. Dogs are allowed on leash only.
