Take the ski train from Boston to Wachusett Mountain

Want to ski Wachusett but don’t want to drive to Central Massachusetts? Take the ski train instead.

The Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority (MBTA) started the service from North Station in Boston to the Wachusett Station in Fitchburg on December 10 (view train schedules). A free shuttle picks up passengers at the Wachusett Station and takes them to the mountain.

The train is equipped with ski and snowboard racks.

A round-trip train ticket is $23. Children under 12 ride for free.

For more information about skiing, visit Wachusett Mountain’s website, or call (978) 464-2300 or (800) SKI-1234.
