Celebrate Winter Trails Day on Saturday, January 6, by learning how to snowshoe or cross-country ski at Weston Ski Track in Weston, Massachusetts, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
If you’re interested in snowshoeing, simply show up; no registration is required. Weston Ski Track will have free demos of snowshoes from Tubbs, MSR, and other companies. Everyone receives a free snowshoe pass for the track. Also take a free snowshoe tour led by EMS.
For cross-country skiers, lessons are free with pre-registration and buying a cross-country ski pass, and renting skis if needed. View the ski lesson schedule and pre-register.
EMS will also lead free cross-country ski tours.
Weston Ski Track is located at 190 Park Road, 14 miles west of Boston. To get there, drive west on the Mass Pike (I-90) to Exit 15B, and make a sharp left onto Park Road. The ski track is six-tenths mile away on the left.
If you’re driving from the west, take Exit 14 off the Mass Pike and turn left on Route 30 West. Drive a half mile to Park Road and turn left. The ski track is on the left in seven-tenths mile.
