Do you have family stories or stories of your own that you would like to preserve in a book? Now you can do it, from start to finish, at a four-week class hosted by the Clark County Genealogical Society.

In these interactive two-hour weekly workshops, instructor Bob Ferguson will show you how to incorporate text, images, and a cover into a full-color, 40-page book. He will help you organize and polish your writing into a compelling story. You’ll also learn how to use desktop publishing software to set up your book for self-publication.

When you’re finished, you’ll have a beautiful, professionally-bound book with copyrights and an ISBN number. The cost to produce each book is $2.50.

The classes meet at the Clark County Genealogical Society’s Education Center, 715 Grand Blvd., in Vancouver, Washington. The schedule for the series is:

  • Thursday, January 25, 10 a.m.-noon
  • Thursday, February 1, 10 a.m.-noon
  • Thursday, February 8, noon-2 p.m.
  • Thursday, February 15, 10 a.m.-noon

The cost for the class series is $40 for genealogical society members and $65 for non-members.
