Hundreds of orchids on display, a juried art exhibition of orchid-themed works, floral arrangements and corsages, and orchid culture and information demonstrations are among the activities at the Santa Barbara International Orchid Show this weekend (March 9-11) at the Earl Warren Showgrounds.
Got questions about growing your orchids? Stop by the Earl Warren Exhibit Hall for tips from Bruce Kidd, The Orchid Doctor. Kidd is a past president of the San Diego County Cymbidium Society and avid orchid enthusiast who currently grows about 500 temperamental orchids in greenhouses and outdoors.
Show hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily.
Daily tickets are $14 ages 13-64, $12 students with ID and seniors 65 and older, and free for children 12 and younger. Three-day passes cost $22 per person or $18 for seniors and students with ID. Buy tickets online or at the door.
