Dandelions are misunderstood. When they pop up on our lawns without our invitation, we consider them a weed. But there are many ways to enjoy dandelions, and today, May 19, you can experience these at the Dandelion Festival at the Remick Country Doctor Museum & Farm in Tamworth Village, New Hampshire.
Taste dandelion-themed dishes and beer and wine made from dandelions. Try skin care products made from dandelions. Visit a beehive and learn about the relationship between bees and dandelions. Make crafts with a dandelion theme. Relax during a yoga session.
You can even buy products made from dandelions to take home.
The festival runs 11 a.m.-3 p.m. today only. Admission is $10 ages 11 and older, $5 ages 5-10, and free ages 4 and younger.
The Remick Country Doctor Museum & Farm is located at 58 Cleveland Hill Road in Tamworth Village, 125 miles northwest of Boston. For more information, call (800) 686-6117 or (603) 323-7591, or visit the Dandelion Festival’s webpage.
