The Suburban Times newspaper reports that the City of Lakewood is postponing the 2019 Father Daughter Dance from Saturday, February 9, to a later date because of the weather. A statement issued by the city read, “Because public safety is the city’s top priority we don’t want people driving on the roads this weekend in potentially unsafe conditions.”
A storm bringing snow and ice is expected to arrive in western Washington and Oregon today. Accumulations vary by weather forecast, but initial estimates overnight range from one to four inches. More snow is in the forecast through next week.
