The Penn Cove Musselfest is back on Saturday-Sunday, March 2-3, on Whidbey Island!
Savor Whidbey Island’s famous Penn Cove mussels in the official Penn Cover Shellfish Festival Tent at the corner of Coveland and Main, just north of Cooks Corner Park in Coupeville, Washington. Sip local brews and enjoy the views at the Waterfront Beer Garden behind the Coupeville Recreation Hall on Grace Street and Coveland.
Grab a ticket for the chowder tasting, because they sell out fast. Watch cooking demonstrations. Listen to live music. Take a boat tour of the Penn Cove Mussel Farm. Enter a mussel eating competition. Bring your bicycle and go on a ride.
The Whidbey Island Masonic Lodge has a wide range of activities to keep the kids busy from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The lodge is located at 804 N. Main Street in Coupeville.
Kids can also fish from the wharf for free from noon to 2 p.m.

Coupeville is located in the middle of Whidbey Island and is about a two-hour drive from Seattle, which includes ferry time. You can also drive all the way to Coupeville via Mount Vernon. Get directions for both of these options.
