Bead Faire comes to Oregon Convention Center this weekend

A bead-lover’s paradise arrives at the Oregon Convention Center Friday-Sunday, July 12-14.

Learn about the history of beads. Watch artisans make jewelry from beads and learn how to make your own.

Browse and buy beads from around the world. Stock up on tools, supplies, and boxes.

Hours are noon-6 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday.

Admission is $7 for a weekend pass for ages 12 and older and free for ages 11 and younger.

The Oregon Convention Center is located at 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Portland, Oregon (get directions and parking information). Tri-Met’s MAX Red, Blue, and Green Lines (light rail) stop at the convention center, as do several buses and the Portland Streetcar. (Plan your trip on Tri-Met and the Portland Streetcar.)
