Now that you’re an adult, are there still times you long for a good, old-fashioned recess? Relive these days at Adult Recess Seattle, where you can play your favorite schoolyard games.
And food trucks will be there to serve up your favorite foods from childhood. No one will make you eat your veggies if you don’t want to!
And, because we’re adults, there’s also a beer garden. Sip your brews while listening to live music and DJs playing your favorite old school hits.
The Adult Recess is happening at the Bobby Morris Playfields at Cal Anderson Park, 1635 11th Avenue in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. Playtime is Saturday, August 3, from noon until 7 p.m. This is a 21-and-older event, so ID is required.
General admission tickets are $24.22 per person, including the fees. Tickets for a group of six people are $113.63 each and $169.50 for a group of nine. At the group rates, you can bring your own dodgeball or volleyball team!
Metered street parking is available. Several Metro buses and the First Hill Streetcar stop within a block’s walk of the park. Plan your trip on Metro or the First Hill Streetcar.
Proceeds from Adult Recess Seattle benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western Washington and Alaska.
