The La Strada dei Pastelli Chalk Art Festival is a new immersive open-air festival featuring large-scale street painting, live music, hands-on activities, and arts vendors. It’s coming to Beaverton, Oregon, on Saturday and Sunday, August 10 and 11, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. each day.
Throughout the festival, established and emerging visual artists will work together to produce temporary drawings on the asphalt. The drawings will be either 5 feet by 5 feet or 10 feet by 15 feet. At the same time, local bands, choirs, and soloists will perform harmonies on and off the festival stage.
Anyone visiting the festival can participate by drawing their own 2-foot by 2-foot masterpiece or contributing to a master design laid out and facilitated by a local artist.
Admission is free.
La Strada dei Pastelli will be held at the Cedar Hills Crossing Shopping Complex at 3205 SW Cedar Hills Blvd. Get more details about the festival at 2d4d.org/la-strada.
Update, August 10:
