Traditional Easter egg hunts are cancelled nationwide this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic, so the Iowa Egg Council created a virtual version. Here’s how it works:
- Download this Easter egg.
- Print out the egg.
- Color the egg.
- Place the egg in a window for everyone to see.
Also enter a coloring contest by posting a picture of your egg on the Iowa Egg Council’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts using the hashtags #IowaEggHunt or #IowaEggColoring by midnight Central time on Saturday, April 11. They’ll randomly select a winner, who will receive an egg swag bag containing a tote bag, Amazon gift card, T-shirt, coloring book, pencil, and stress egg.
The winner will be announced on Friday, April 17.
While you’re at the Iowa Egg Council’s website, check out their egg recipes and go on virtual farm field trips in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Oregon, and Arizona.
