Biscayne National Park, in Homestead south of Miami, is a diverse ecosystem of clear blue waters, islands, coral reefs teeming with 500 species of fish, and mangroves. During a trip to Florida, I stopped at the Dante Fascell Visitor Center east of downtown Homestead and walked the quarter-mile trail along Convoy Point shortly after sunrise. It’s a relaxing, peaceful way to start the day.
