Winter’s Jazz Club livestreaming jazz from Chicago in July and August

Winter’s Jazz Club is closed because of COVID-19, but they’ve found a way to bring live jazz to fans from anywhere. Starting today at 7 p.m. Central time (5 p.m. Pacific), they’re featuring a new artist on select Fridays through late August.

Here’s the schedule.

July

  • July 3—Don Vappie with special guest Victor Goines (Creole blues and New Orleans jazz)
  • July 17—Andy Brown and Petra van Nuis (summer swing)
  • July 31—Jeremy Kahn Trio featuring Andy Baker and Larry Kohut performing music by Duke Ellington and George Gershwin

August

  • August 14—Paul Marinaro (theme to be determined)
  • August 28—Jo Ann Daugherty Trio featuring Ryan Bennett and Joshua Ramos (reinvention music)
