Vancouver Parks and Recreation hosts Friday Night Flicks: A Drive-In Movie Experience through early October

Usually in the summertime, Vancouver Parks and Recreation hosts a series of outdoor movies in local parks on the east and west sides of town. People pack picnic baskets and coolers and spread blankets on the grass to watch the movies on a big screen.

COVID has changed that this year. Instead, the parks and recreation department has scheduled a series of Friday night movies where you can watch from the comfort and safety of your car.

The series started in late August and continues through October 2. Here’s the schedule and addresses of the shows.

Living Hope Church (2711 Andresen Road)

  • August 28, The Lion King (2019), PG
  • September 4, Jumanji: The Next Level, PG-13
  • September 11, Aladdin (2019), PG

Columbia Tech Center (corner of Sequoia Cir. and Tech Center Drive)

  • September 18, Frozen 2, PG

Tower Mall (5411 E. Mill Plain Blvd.)

  • September 25, Men in Black International, PG-13
  • October 2, Ghostbusters (1984), PG

Admission is $20 per car for Vancouver, Washington, residents and $23 per car for residents outside the city limits. Get more details about this movie experience and buy tickets at the City of Vancouver’s Friday Night Flicks page.
