BirdFest & Bluegrass is an annual celebration in Ridgefield, Washington, to welcome the sandhill crane migration to the local wildlife refuge. This year, because of the coronavirus, the festival is moving online on Friday and Saturday, October 2-3.

The festival starts with a trivia night at 7 p.m. on Friday. Challenge your knowledge of all things!

Saturday is filled with activities, from watching the sandhill cranes at sunrise and sunset to birding photography tips, a watercolor tutorial, crafts, and more. Bluegrass artists will perform between activities. Shop at the Birders Marketplace throughout the day.

The final activity on Saturday is watching the sandhill cranes at sunset.

Here’s the complete schedule.

Find more details about the festival at the BirdFest & Bluegrass website. For updates, check the festival’s Facebook page.
