If you’re looking for a good outdoor challenge that’s family friendly, check out the Rutledge Corn Maze in Olympia, Washington. The design crosses two separate mazes, and you can’t cross from one maze to the other. Each maze has a separate entrance.

To add to the challenge, look for the 12 checkpoints. Cross them off on a card you’ll receive when you check in, and if you get all 12, turn in the card when you leave to be entered in a prize drawing.

Do you have good detective skills? Put them to work in the mazes to figure out what happened to Farmer Joe.
If you’re looking for an even bigger challenge, wait until after dark to explore the haunted maze. It’s the same daytime maze experience, except you’ll find your way through it in total darkness.

Other activities during daytime hours include the swing set, Punchin’ Pumpkins game, rides on the Cow Train, horseshoe pit, ladder ball, corn hole, corn cannon, and wagon rides.

The Rutledge Corn Maze is located at 302-93rd Avenue South in Olympia. Buy tickets and get more information at rutledgecornmaze.com.

The maze is open from mid-September through the last weekend in October.
