In the summer, the Zidell Yards Drive-in features movies hosted by the Northwest Film Center. For almost a week during the 2020 holiday season, they’re opening for a family-friendly event.

The Christmas Ships will pass by Zidell Yards every evening from Wednesday, December 16, through Tuesday, December 22. You can watch from your car on the banks of the Willamette River while listening to a special holiday music broadcast from the Portland Radio Project.

Admission is $36 per car, and tickets must be purchased online at Ticket Tomato. Each ticket includes a locally-made candy cane pack for four people. Snack packs are also available for $15 for two people.

You’ll be assigned a parking spot when you arrive. Tune into the broadcast from your car’s FM radio.

Zidell Yards is located at 3121 S Moody Avenue, between the Tillicum Bridge and Ross Island Bridge, on Portland’s south waterfront.
