The three-minute New Year’s Eve light show at the London Eye is a colorful montage of hope and encouragement that emerged from the darkness of a challenging year. Among them are a tribute to healthcare workers and first responders, raising awareness of child hunger, the Global Pride movement, and climate change. The show starts and ends with the lights turning on and off, respectively, in honor of the Black Lives Matter movement.
The show was pre-recorded. No live event was held in London this year due to the COVID pandemic.
Stream the show at the London Eye’s Facebook page, where you’ll find more details about what the colors and patterns represent, in sequence, in the video description.
