The eleventh annual Havasu Balloon Festival and Fair will look a lot different this year. Instead of the usual four-day event, the event has been reduced to a drive-in balloon night glow and movie at the Special Activities and Recreation Area (SARA) Park at the Rodeo Grounds in Lake Havasu City, Arizona (weather permitting).
“It is with sadness, and yet in good conscience, that we announce the cancellation of the 2021 Havasu Balloon Festival and Fair,” event organizers wrote in a statement on the festival’s website. “The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has affected many of our sponsors and represents a potential threat to our volunteers and attendees alike.”
The night glow starts Saturday, January 16, at 6-6:30 p.m. and the movie starts at 7 p.m. The gate opens at 4:45 p.m.
Admission is $20 per car, cash only.
SARA Park is located at 7260 Sara Parkway.
