For 14 years, Vinfen has sponsored the Moving Images Film Festival “to raise awareness, foster dialogue, and fight prejudices and discrimination often faced by people with mental illness, intellectual and developmental disabilities, brain injuries, and behavioral health challenges,” according to the festival’s webpage.

Usually the festival is held in person in Massachusetts, but this year due to the COVID pandemic, it’s moving online. This year’s festival is Saturday, February 20, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Eastern time.

This year’s theme is “Adjusting the Lens: A Shift in Perspective”. The featured films focus on bringing awareness to current issues and how we can foster changes to end social injustices, racial inequities, and political and social divisions.

The festival is free to the general public, but registration is required. Get more information and register at vinfen.org.
