
After approximately a year of closures due to COVID, Tacoma’s Museum District is springing to life again starting in early April, when the museums gradually reopen at limited capacity and safety measures in place.
The Washington State History Museum, 1911 Pacific Avenue, reopens on Friday, April 2. Hours are Tuesday-Sunday, 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. On every third Thursday, the museum extends its hours to 8 p.m. and offers free admission after 3 p.m.
The Museum of Glass, 1801 Dock Street, opens to members only on Friday, April 2. The museum reopens to the public on Saturday, April 3. Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday-Sunday.
LeMay – America’s Car Museum, 2702 East D Street, also reopens on Friday, April 2. Hours are Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., with the last entry at 4:30 p.m.
The Children’s Museum of Tacoma, 1501 Pacific Avenue, Suite 202, reopens Monday, April 12, to limited daily sessions by reservation. For more information or to make a reservation, go to playtacoma.org.
The Tacoma Art Museum, 1701 Pacific Avenue, reopens Friday, April 16. Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday-Sunday.
The Foss Waterway Seaport, 705 Dock Street, reopens Thursday, June 3. Hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday-Sunday. On every third Thursday, the museum extends its hours to 8 p.m. and offers free admission after 4 p.m.
