Last year, Encore Drive-In Nights started hosting concerts at drive-in movie theaters throughout the U.S. and Canada to give fans a place to enjoy music from favorite popular artists safely from their cars during the COVID-19 pandemic. On one night, the show was projected on the big screen at all locations.
The series returns for 2021 and kicks off with Bon Jovi on Saturday, May 22. Tickets go on sale at noon Eastern time today (April 29), 9 a.m. Pacific at encorenights.com/bonjovi. You can also sign up for email alerts for future concerts.
This year, the shows are playing at drive-in movie theaters in the U.S., Canada, and Ireland.
Tickets are priced per carload. A carload means the legal number of people who can sit in your vehicle. I just checked for the ticket prices this year, but they’re not showing until the tickets go on sale. Last year when I bought tickets to the Blake Shelton and Metalllica concerts, the price was $100 per car, plus fees.
To buy tickets, find the drive-in movie theater nearest you at encorenights.com/bonjovi, and click or tap the Tickets button at the right of the listing. Another page launches with information about the venue and purchase options. Click or tap the picture with the “Tickets” caption and follow the instructions.
If you’d like to go, I recommend being online when the ticket sales start, because all shows sold out fast in 2020. The featured artists from last year were Garth Brooks, Blake Shelton, and Metallica.
