Fair officials announced today that the Clark County Fair in Ridgefield, Washington, will be cancelled this year. The next fair is expected to be held in August 2022.
“While we were hopeful that we would be able to move forward with the 2021 Clark County Fair, based on the current rising infection rates, the State guidance we have received and what is best for public health, our Fair Board has made the decision to postpone the Fair until 2022,” a statement reads on the fair’s website. “This was a difficult decision that was made in the best interest of the community. It was one not taken lightly nor made quickly; but made to ensure the health and safety of our attendees, volunteers, exhibitors, vendors, sponsors, attractions, and staff.”
The Fair board is planning some smaller family-oriented events throughout the summer of 2021 that will comply with the state’s COVID safety requirements. These events will be announced at the Clark County Event Center website.
