In late December 2020, Joe Beaudoin retired and closed his farm east of I-205 in Vancouver, Washington. Joe’s Place Farms sold fresh fruit and homemade treats, and hosted seasonal family events for more than 70 years.
But yesterday, I learned that the farm has reopened. Joe’s sons, Mike and Scott, are running the farm now. They’ve opened it for U-pick strawberries, raspberries, marionberries, and peaches. The hours for picking when the fruit is in season are 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.
To find out what’s available, call (360)-892-3974. You’ll need to bring your own containers to carry your fruit home, and cash only is accepted. When you arrive, check in with a farm attendant at the entrance.
For more information, a list of the types of fruit that will be available, and the locations of the picking areas, visit www.joesplacefarms.com.
Thanks so much on info of Joes place…..I just hated to see it close….So happy to hear his sons took over the business….I will be picking soon

You’re welcome, Pam! I was so disappointed when I heard about this last fall, too. I’m glad his sons are carrying on the tradition. I’m also hoping they’ll bring back the homemade goodies sometime.
