Every year, Washington State Parks hosts a series of musical and cultural events throughout the state as part of its Folk and Traditional Arts Program. This year, the Roots in the Parks series kicked off in June with some virtual concerts from Deception Pass State Park. Watch selected performances from these videos and previous events at the state’s Folk and Traditional Arts YouTube channel.

Starting in July, the programs are a mix of virtual and in-person events, from concerts to cedar bark weaving classes. Virtual presentations include talks featuring different state parks, the eruption of Mt. St. Helens, diversity, food, and an Indian Independence Day celebration.
