Gather family and friends. Convince them to either run with you or cheer you on. Then register for the Dye Hard 5K Color Run in Yakima, Washington, on Saturday, August 14. Show up at 8:30 p.m. to check in and run after dark while getting covered in fluorescent colored powder, under the glow of black lights.

When you’re done, go to the post-event party with music, dancing and even more powder.

Check-in is at 8:30 p.m. at the SOZO Sports Complex at 2200 South 36th Avenue. The Dye Hard 5K starts at 9:30 p.m.

The event is open to ages six and older. Registration at the early-bird rate is $38.03 per person, including fees. Sign up online by Saturday, July 31 to get the early-bird rate. The price increases to $45 plus fees on August 1.

Ages 6 and older can participate.

Parking costs $5.
