One of western New York State’s largest art festivals returns Saturday-Sunday, September 18-19. More than 200 vendors will have original work for sale at The Purple Lady Festival and Barn Sale in Palmyra. Lots of delicious food will also be available, including vegan options.
The hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $5 for ages 13 and older, which is collected at the entry gate. Children 12 and under are free.
The festival is a fundraiser for a local charity or organization, and a different organization is selection each year. The 2021 recipient is Honor Flight Rochester, which flies Veterans to Washington, DC, to visit the military memorials.
Smoking, vaping, and pets are not allowed.
The festival is located at 845 Yellow Mills Road in Palmyra. Parking is free.
