Watch August’s solar eclipse from a campsite at Oregon’s largest tulip farm

Still looking for a place to watch the solar eclipse in its direct path on Monday, August 21? Hotels are sold out, as are most campsites. But there are still campsites available in Woodburn, Oregon, at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm for August 19-21. Hurry, though, because these will sell out.

In addition to viewing the eclipse, enjoy a variety of activities on the farm throughout the weekend.

Saturday, August 19

  • Farm tours
  • Milk-can dinner
  • Live music from 5-9 p.m.

Sunday, August 20

  • Breakfast items available
  • Farm tours
  • Cow train rides for the kids, 1-5 p.m.
  • Live entertainment, 4-9 pm.
  • Sunset photography lessons, 7:30 p.m.
  • Astronomy lesson and stargazing, 8:30-10 p.m.
  • Pig roast and smores

Monday, August 21

  • Breakfast items available
  • Farm tours
  • Eclipse photography lesson, 8:30 a.m.
  • Eclipse set-up and lecture, 9 a.m.
  • Full solar eclipse at 10:17 a.m.

The Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm is located at 33814 S. Meridian Road in Woodburn, a 45-minute drive south of Portland and 30 minutes northeast of Salem (view directions).
