Learn the craft of tying your own fishing flies from some of the region’s top experts at Clark-Skamania Flyfishers‘ annual Introduction to Fly Tying class starting Saturday, January 20, 2-6 p.m. The four-week class includes lectures and demonstrations about fly tying, along with hands-on activities that allow you to create your own flies. Instructors provide individualized assistance each week.
Clark-Skamania Flyfishers holds the classes at the 40 et 8 Voiture 99 Building, 7607 NE 27th Avenue in Vancouver. The building is located off 78th Street on the east side of the Bingo Parlor. There’s a train locomotive in front of the building.
Registration is $45 per person, and includes all equipment and supplies to get started in fly tying. To register, send a check made out to Clark-Skamania Flyfishers to Al Wood, 9328 NE 96th Street, Vancouver, WA 98662. For more information about the class, call Al Wood at (360) 904-7797.
