The Newport Winter Carnival in Newport, New Hampshire, is celebrating 102 years in 2018 with the “Life is Sweet” theme Thursday-Sunday, February 8-11.
Become a playing piece in the life-sized Candy Land game inside the high school gym. Go ice skating on the Common. The skating continues every day, and there’s a midnight ice skate on Friday. Enjoy the action at the Axe Man Challenge and Frozen Open snow golf, with one club and one ball.
There are a lot of tournaments to choose from, such as dodgeball for kids and adults, horseshoes, and volleyball. Other events include a parade on Saturday morning, horse-drawn wagon rides, ice hockey, Easter egg hunt, pancake breakfast, and beauty pageant.
