The Oregonian newspaper in Portland, Oregon, reported yesterday that 16 trails damaged by the massive Eagle Creek fire in the Columbia Gorge last fall are now open for hiking. Several trails are still closed until further notice.

The Eagle Creek fire spread to almost 49,000 acres in September 2017. It was caused by a teenager playing with fireworks.

The Oregonian published a complete list of the trails that reopened yesterday and the trails that are still under repair (view the list).
