Seattle’s floating homes community enjoy and embrace a unique lifestyle near the center of one of the fastest growing cities in the nation. It’s a place where humans protect nature and both live in harmony.
On September 9 from noon to 5 p.m., meet some of these homeowners and learn about this close-knit community during a self-guided tour of 12 houseboats along Fairview Avenue. Park in the lots south of East Newton along Fairview Avenue East, on the side streets, or at the Blue Ribbon Cooking School at 2501 Fairview Avenue East. From there, catch the shuttle bus that stops at these beautiful homes.
Admission is $55 per person, and tickets are available online through Brown Paper Tickets. The shuttle is included with admission.
