Tonight, November 30, kicks off the holiday season in Selah, Washington, with free crafts, a free movie, and the annual Lighted Parade.
Here’s the full schedule:
- 6 p.m.—Warm up for the parade with chili and nachos, available for purchase at the Selah Civic Center, 216 S First Street.
- 6:30-8 p.m.—The Lighted Parade starts at the Selah Middle School on Wernex Loop and runs south on First Street to Selah Avenue. Stop at the Selah Civic Center immediately after the parade for the Lighted Truck Rally.
- 7:30-9 p.m.—Free crafts for kids at the Selah Civic Center. Hot cocoa, coffee, and treats are available for purchase.
- 8:30 p.m.—Free movie, The Grinch, in the Selah Civic Center, hosted by Nana Kate’s, a local full-service caterer
The event is hosted by the Selah Downtown Association. Check the association’s event calendar for other fun activities in town throughout the year.
Selah is located in central Washington, four miles south of Yakima, 140 miles southwest of Seattle, and 210 miles northwest of Portland.
