Immerse your kids in boats, pirates, and everything else about the ocean during Family Fun Days at the Custom House Maritime Museum in Newburyport, Massachusetts, February 19-22, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Here’s a sampling of what’s in store:

  • Learn how sailors navigated the seas using only a sextant and compass.
  • Go on a museum scavenger hunt using a compass.
  • Catch fish.
  • Hear classic stories.
  • Make your own pirate hat, wave bottle, and scratch stars.
  • Build a boat from aluminum foil. If it floats, find out how many pennies it takes to sink it. Prizes will be awarded for the boats that hold the most pennies before they sink.
