Relax after work this summer with the animals at the Oregon Zoo in Portland’s Washington Park. Grab dinner outside from a local food cart, along with an Oregon beer. Then munch, sip, and listen to live music.
There’s plenty for the kids to do, too, from play to crafts while hanging out with lions, tigers, and bears.
The carousel and train will also be open for rides for an extra charge.
Here’s the 2019 Twilight Tuesday schedule and the featured music:
- June 18, Stump City Soul (soul)
- July 16, Yuma de Cuba (salsa)
- August 20, The Cascadians (Northwest ska, rocksteady, and reggae)
Admission is $9 per person after 4 p.m. and free for zoo members. The zoo gates close at 8 p.m., but the grounds will be open until 9 p.m.
Discounts on admission are available for public transit riders. Show your ticket or Hop Card at the gate to get the discount. The nearest MAX (light rail) stop is Washington Park; the zoo is across the street. (Plan your trip.)
Parking is available at the zoo for an extra fee.
