Portland’s Mississippi Street Fair supports teenagers entering the workforce

On Saturday, July 13, join more than 30 talented musicians and hundreds of food and craft vendors as they support teenagers entering the workforce at the Mississippi Street Fair in Portland, Oregon.

The Mississippi Street Fair runs from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. Live entertainment continues throughout the day on five stages. Grandfather’s Rib-Off, a barbecue competiton, returns, as does the Kid’s Zone to keep the children busy while you browse the craft vendor booths.

Proceeds from the fair benefit the Boise Business Youth Unity Project (BBYUP, which is pronounced as BUY-up). BBYUP’s mission is to connect businesses and youth in a positive way through summer internships. The organization was founded by a handful of small business owners in 2005.

The Mississippi Street Fair is located in a 20-block radius surrounded by North Skidmore Street on the north, North Fremont Street on the south, North Michigan Avenue on the west, and North Albina Avenue on the east. View the fair map and full list of vendors.
