I don’t have a lot of information about this one, because I heard about it today. The Stranger reports that The Beacon Cinema, a single-screen movie theater showing “an eclectic, curated selection of both new and old, avant-garde and mainstream films,” opened today at 4405 Rainier Avenue South in the Columbia City neighborhood of Seattle.
According to The Stranger article, co-founders Tommy Swenson and Casey Moore are offering free showings for the first week. I confirmed this after finding the The Beacon Cinema’s website. After that, admission for each film will be $14.12 per person, which includes the service fee. Online tickets are available through Brown Paper Tickets.
