On a Sunday afternoon in December, two blocks of Main Street in Vancouver’s Uptown Village close to vehicles for a grand celebration at the annual Reindeer Block Party.
Come for a stroll. Pose with Santa for a free photo. Meet Comet and Blitzen, two famous reindeer from Santa’s team. They’ll let you pet them.
Enjoy live music from the Hough Community Choir and delicious food. Browse handcrafted gifts at the vendor booths.
There are also free crafts and activities for the kids.
You’ll find the festivities on Main Street, between West 23rd and 24th Streets, on Sunday, December 8, from 1 to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
Park in the designated spots on the streets that aren’t closed, or take public transit. City bus routes #31 Hazel Dell and #71 Highway 99 stop along Broadway Street, one block away. Plan your trip at the C-Tran website.
