On June 11, Coachella and Stagecoach music festival promoter Goldenvoice announced that the festivals would be postponed until 2021. This announcement came a day after Riverside County public health officer Dr. Cameron Kaiser announced that, because of the risks of the COVID-19 pandemic, the festivals wouldn’t be allowed to take place in at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, until 2021 at the earliest.

The tentative rescheduled dates are April 9-11 and April 16-28 for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, and April 23-25 for the Stagecoach Festival.

Large gatherings in California were halted earlier. In April, Governor Gavin Newsom announced that all concerts and other large gatherings would not be allowed statewide until a COVID-19 vaccine or other effective treatment is available.

All 2020 passes will be honored in 2021. If you have a pass, you’ll be contacted by email by the end of the day Monday, June 15, with information on transferring your tickets or getting a refund.
