For many (me included), yoga is a relaxing way to exercise and unwind after a busy day. Add a view, and it’s magical.

Each Thursday in August from 5 until 6 p.m., you can enjoy a beautiful view of Mount Hood during yoga classes at the outdoor amphitheater at the Timberline Lodge & Ski Area. The classes are designed for all abilities.

The classes are $5 per person. To register, call the Timberline Lodge Front Desk at (503) 272-3311.

To find the amphitheater, follow the path toward the Magic Mile chairlift. The amphitheater is on the right.

Bring your own mat, along with extra layers in case the weather changes and a blanket for savasana. The mountain conditions can be unpredictable.

Masks are required until you have paid for the class and settle on your mat six feet from anyone who isn’t in your household. You must also wear your mask and keep a safe distance from others after class.

For updates on the class, check Timberline Lodge & Ski Area’s Facebook page.

Timberline Lodge & Ski Area is 62 miles southeast of Portland.
