The COVID pandemic continues to wreak havoc on festival schedules. Now some summer festivals that cancelled in 2020 are doing it again because of safety concerns and state restrictions on large gatherings.
The Yarmouth Clam Festival in Yarmouth, Maine is among these casualties. But this year, organizers are looking at other ways to celebrate outside of a large in-person gathering. “We have some ideas up our sleeves and will keep our Yarmouth friends and family updated as we approach the summer months,” according to the festival’s website.
This year marks the fifty-fifth year of the festival, which usually is held the third weekend in July. Check for updates at clamfestival.com.
Yarmouth is 12 miles south of Portland, Maine, and 122 miles north of Boston.
