Because of ongoing safety concerns and state restrictions from the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 Skagit Valley Tulip Festival in northwestern Washington State will be a combination of virtual and in-person events.

The festival kicks off on Thursday, April 1, with a virtual party streamed live on Facebook. Watch a concert by Joan Penney and her Jazz Quartet and place bids in a silent auction. You can place bids from Thursday, March 25, through Friday, April 2 here.

The Tulip Festival website mentions a to-go dinner on the night of the kickoff party, but the page where you can place an order has been pulled down, so most likely the dinner is sold out.

Throughout April, you can see the tulips and other flowers in bloom at Tulip Town and Roozengaarde Flowers & Bulbs. This year’s process will be different than past festivals. Capacities will be reduced. Timed tickets are required and must be purchased online.

Roosengaarde Floweres & Bulbs’ address is 15867 Beaver Marsh Road, Mount Vernon. Buy tickets at tulips.com.

Tulip Town is located at 15002 Bradshaw Road in Mount Vernon. Buy tickets at tuliptown.com.
