Update, August 25, 2021: I received an email from Mercer Island Parks and Recreation today that the rest of this series has been cancelled for 2021 due to the increased COVID-19 risks for concert attendees and staff.

Enjoy a pleasant summer evening outside listening to music by local artists on Mercer Island in late August and early September. The Mostly Music in the Park summer concert series is back after a year’s break due to the COVID pandemic.

The three concerts in the 2021 series are scheduled on Thursday, August 19, 26, and September 2, at the Pergola at Mercerdale Park, 77th SE and SE 32nd. Concert times are 7-8:30 p.m. August 19 and 26, and 6-7:30 p.m. September 2.

Here’s the lineup:

  • August 19 – The Olson Brothers Band with opening act Staten Medsker
  • August 26 – Dynamite Suprene with opening act Abby London
  • September 2 – LeRoy Bell and His Only Friends with opening act Matt Lome

These concerts are free. For information about these concerts and other events, visit the City of Mercer Island’s Arts & Culture page.
