Metropolitan Performing Arts resumes live performances

After a hiatus due to COVID-19, Metropolitan Performing Arts is back with a two free in-person, outdoor performances in Southwest Washington in July and August.

See an updated version of Shakespeare’s Love’s Labour Lost that’s still true to the work’s original message. This performance incorporates modern language, social media, and improv. Here’s the schedule:

  • Saturday-Sunday, July 17-18, at 6 p.m. behind the Heron House at Columbia Springs in Vancouver, Washington
  • Saturday-Sunday, July 31-August 1, at 6 p.m. in the field behind Metropolitan Performing Arts at 6403 E Mill Plain Blvd. in Vancouver
  • Saturday-Sunday, August 7-8, at 6 p.m. at Bethany Vineyard and Winery at 4115 NE 259th Street in Ridgefield, Washington. RSVP here.

Thursday-Saturday, July 23-25, Lewis Carroll’s classic Wonderland: Alice Rock & Roll Adventure follows Alice as she searches for her musical voice. The cast consists of actors from ages eight to 22 and professional musicians. Performances are at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, and noon and 6:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday on the lawn at Metropolitan Performing Arts.
